What types of documents can I protect?

Is my document stored on any server?
No. All processing is done locally on your device. No data ever leaves your phone or computer. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet — the tool will keep working.
Is it really free?
Yes, the Personal version is completely free. On the web there are no limitations. The mobile apps allow 5 free exports per day. Soon, DocProtect Business will offer unlimited exports and corporate customisation.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. We have free native apps for iPhone and iPad and for Android, with S-Pen and Apple Pencil support. You can also use the web version from any mobile browser.
Why is the image converted to black and white?
Converting to black and white reduces the quality of the copy, making it harder to use fraudulently while remaining perfectly valid for identification purposes.
